Lisa Mick, OTR/L, ATP
Lisa Mick is a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New Mexico with over 17 years of practical OT experience in school, waiver and home health care settings. Lisa earned an additional certification as an Assistive Technology Professional from Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. Lisa initially received a Bachelor of Science degree in PE/Business in 1989 from McPherson College in Kansas where she grew up. After moving to New Mexico she became interested in Occupational Therapy and completed a secondary bachelor's degree in OT in 1999. Lisa has experience working in school systems around the state, providing OT services for adults on the Developmental Disabilities Waiver program, and working with seniors in the Albuquerque area providing OT in the home health care setting. Lisa has worked for Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) since 2004, and has experience working with students in preschool through high school of all abilities. Lisa has worked with the Assistive Technology Department in APS as an AT provider since 2012. In this position she completes evaluations for computer access for students with physical disabilities, specific switch site evaluations, and identification of technology tools to assist students at all levels with written communication. In addition to evaluations she provides ongoing technology supports for students on caseload and school staff, as well as, providing close communication with parents and families in support of the full continuum of care.
