Lauren is a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She has clinical experience working with individuals and families affected by anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, suicidality, psychosis, chronic pain and relationship conflicts. Lauren also has clinical experience working with teens and families affected by trauma, self harm, attachment related issues, and parenting difficulties.
Lauren’s practice is informed by three evidenced-based therapeutic approaches: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). A graduate of Vanderbilt University, she received a bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development and a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and teaches Gentle & Restorative yoga classes focused on mindful awareness and self regulation.
