About Your Testing Day

What time to be here and what to expect:

Evaluations are typically scheduled to begin in the morning between 8:30 and 10:00am.

Please be prepared to be available until approximately 4-5 pm. Your evaluation day may be significantly shorter, but it is not uncommon for testing days to extend into the late afternoon. Please also be advised that you/your child may be asked to return for a second day of testing, should it be needed, though this is not common.

Additionally, if you are the parent/guardian/family member of a patient being evaluated, please be aware that you may be required to remain on premises during the evaluation period.

What to bring?

In addition to your completed History Questionnaire, please bring any previous testing reports, as well as pertinent medical and/or psychiatric records.

You may also wish to bring any necessary medications, as well as snacks and a lunch. Please be aware that there are a wide variety of readily accessible dining options within short walking distance, ranging from inexpensive to fine dining. Please ask for suggestions.

All family members are encouraged to bring books, magazines, laptop computers, etc., in order to entertain themselves. WiFi is available free of charge to all patients and families, though you will need to provide your own access device. Local TV is available on site.

What to expect after your evaluation?

After you or your family member's evaluation has been completed an appointment will be scheduled to provide feedback, either via phone or in-office, regarding the test results/interpretations, subsequent diagnoses, and treatment recommendations.

Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Forensics evaluations will result in consultation as needed with the client party.

A written report detailing pertinent clinical information, test results, diagnoses, and recommendations will be prepared and furnished to all relevant parties (i.e., parents, patients, referral sources, and/or legal clients).

Please be aware that clinical reports typically require approximately 2-3 weeks to complete. This timeline can be influenced by efforts to obtain records, conduct consultation, or gather additional or collateral information.

Please inquire regarding special deadlines. Preliminary feedback may be provided upon request or previous arrangement.
